Grisly accident in Nairobi

In a tragic twist of irony, two trucks contracted by Kenya power were involved in a horrific accident killing at least six people. The driver of a lorry carrying electricity poles, and moving from Kangemi area along Waiyaki way lost control after the brakes failed. It swerved, jumped over the median and collided with a truck carrying electricity workers. NTV counted at least five bodies loaded into the police truck and at least four people were taken to hospital with injuries, including the lorry driver. The severe impact sent the blue truck flying, leaving pieces of twisted metal and blood stains metres apart beside the road.
